That video sums it up.

Bummer, I dug the show.

But, for the sa.e reasons, I no longer work for the ambulance service on my days off...corporate decisions.

It was alight. I didn't love it. But the good car shows are the ones that show real cost and real fixes. I can't stand the notion of buying, restoring and flipping for 100%profit in a 3 week time span.

Anyone remember the show trucks back in the early 2000's on Spike? Or American hot rod with Boyd cottington?

I bought a Jaguar XK8 off craigslist mainly because it was unbelievably cheap (it's now my DD) so I watched the Wheeler Dealer show where they redid one. It was actually very helpful.

You could tell Discovery studios confused hand on most of the California WD episodes. The 5.0 Mustang convert one was embarrassing where they race and beat a bigboy Mustang Fastback. Those tank mustangs aren't known for their speed, but Mikes 10+ second 1/8th mile times (after a 16 hwy mpg inducing 3.73 gear swap) wouldn't beat a Camry.

The whole drag race scene from that has been done 20 times in other discovery studios shows. It's like one idiot keeps pitching the same dumb idea.

I'm hoping in time we'll see some fresh new programs with more hands-on work from Edd.
As much as I really liked the show, I think Edd knew that it was time to move on. Edd, with his fame and notoriety will do very well.

Btw, does anyone know what happened with the old (1911?) Caddy Paris to Dakar rally car?
That might been the last program that I'm aware of.

Yeah, me too. They spent a boatload of money on that dinosaur. That's a tough enough rally on later model cars...I can't imagine doing it in a car over a hundred years old....an open car no less.

We have to subscribe to Velocity where I am. I don't even know what it costs because I don't care, I refuse to pay a penny for it. Less than a handful of shows worth watching, and of those, most I'd only watch if I was sick on the couch.
Reality tv is out of control, is not actually real and is just plain bland. No substance, unless you're a 14 yo girl who thrives on made up drama, make-up and gossip.
Put em all in a deep pit with no way out....except RR- he can be MY beer assistant.

Reality TV has ruined every channel that used to be good. I used to love watching documentaries on History, Discovery, A&E and watching educational programs and learning something. Now people just want to be entertained, I have found later in my life, that gaining knowledge or playing guitar is the best way to spend your time instead of watching a screen. nowadays every channel has reality bull crap that I just cannot stand. I've never watched Wheeler Dealers, but I never did like reality car shows like West Coast Customs. The last one I watched was with that count guy and that was alright. I like car shows, but my favorites are on YouTube. Motor Week is a daily watch for me now.
