Ended up pushing the Monte into DD status today. Trans on wifeys Impala is acting up and I refuse to put any money into it so she took my van and I am driving the Monte until I find her a new car. So todays task ( in-between calls at work ) is to sort out the choke on the car. Now if I can only find that post by Bonnewagon ..........
Started the day going to the local picka-part, temperature in the 70s (Pgh)got the door part's I needed to swap out the other door handle with the 88-98 Silverado flush mounts. Was it pretty simple mod. Stripped the passenger door to bare metal, one repaint, and they then took it down to bare metal, only 3 small door dings, absolutely no rust.

Really haven't done jack sh*t to it since the motor went. I ordered a set of rods, which I'm not gonna use. 100 bucks shipped if anyone wants a set of '69 350 Buick Rods in decent shape, although the demand for those isn't too high I imagine. I did buy an NOS rod that was a stock replacement for the '76 capscrew rods that I do have to replace #7 that had a bearing spin in it. I'm gonna have my crank turned here in a few weeks, and the rest of the rods checked out, a new piston put on the new rod if I can find a single one that matches my others, have the block hot tanked to get any oil and stray metal out of it, new cam bearings put in, and then I can button up the bottom end... for the second time. :p

Fixed the drivers inner door handle, P205/75R14's in place of 215/75R14's on the front, fixed the windshield washer, installed a speedo cable, switched from ported to manifold vacuum, runs better, fixed a trans cooler line leak, oil flush, 5W50 oil change and grease. Just need to install the braided line for the oil gauge. I will take the one off 70S, that is apart, as I have one coming. I also have a Pertronix igniter 3 module coming for the HEI.

Bought 3 pairs of big block Chevy heads, saved em from the core place.

Been digging in my shop for a Buick 350 crank for another member. I did find the block, rods, oil pan, balancer and parts. I have to unload my crankshaft rack and see if it's towards the back.
