being from Jersey and having been to the Asbury circuit with both my mother and my brother I'll say Bruce Springsteen born to run or blinded by the light he means a flashlight. Get it revved up like a deuce. Back then probably from the parkway bridge to to the 40mph sine on Asbury Ave can't do that anymore

Ah yes the palace lights! If Tilly could talk it wouldn't be about the board walk! It would be about over a decade of street racing north 4 lanes wide on ocean Ave and south on Kingsley. It started in the 50s and ended 1984 by 85 everything was closed and the town put an apology in the paper for shutting down the rases it then became the hell that can be seen in the movie City by the sea

I remember summers in Stone Harbor, when Avalon was miles up the road. By the 80s, it said 'welcome to...' on both sides of the same post.

How about a nice long car wash song... ;)

Would YOU let your convertible get washed with the top down?

A hot 'G' body and a one of those FORD type cars. Easy to miss.

I know Asbury Ave. only raced to work in Eatontown on that one. Now did you ever see a H/O with 'studded snows' go around and around and around that circle *ss two lane sideways and shooting sparks. . :wax: Oh ..the looks on their faces.... :eek: :wtf:
Yup. Shh, don't tell the popo man. ;)

More war stories:hijack:

a 79 eh?
I made it to the finals Sunday at Raceway Park on Oldsmobile weekend 1996 with my stock 84 H/O and met up against track owner Vinny Napp's nephew in His 79 H/O. I wanted that win bad :twisted:, he had unlimited track time :cool:.... and ran me down. :eek::p Dial 16.17 on 215/65 Eagle GTs to his 15.65 .. that's pretty close #s if not exact dials. Fun day, still got the runner up trophy ... so I don't forget it all..

With that said - I don't like a 79 H/O ever since ...lol :doh:
Side note: I don't like the 75 H/O ether, had a 350 one, totally anemic :puke::wtf:
