You will need notched valve covers to clear the Hyvac and maybe the booster as well.

Christian, there's no need for notched valve covers with the stock booster. Here's an old pic of The Juggernaut with the 455 and the stock booster, no issues whatsoever.
Not sure about clearance with the A/C HVAC box, but with the heat only one, I had lots of room.

From what I have read I thought the oiling issue was the oil passages allows the oil to get up to the top end faster than it can get back down. I also read that people install cam bearing oil restrictors to help keep some more oil I'm the pan
Yup the restrictors look like pipe plugs with small holes in them and there is a lot of tricks to make them return oil without the ext plumbing

You don't need oil restricors there back cam bearings that solve the issue and restricted push rods this way you don't starve the cam or crank, stock valve covers fit fine with a/c if your body bushings are good I have a/c on my car in relitvely stock form

Ran good but kept eating push rods so I pulled it put in the 72 W-30 and made the car a stick at the same time then life got in the way hopefully I get back to it by July there is 2 ahead of it now

Sorry on the booster, that is an A body thing I believe, I could have looked on my car. I know my 260-403 have sat very close A/C box in my 88, a 455 would hit but my body bushings are no doubt wasted. Yah, don't use restrictor's and see where the clearances are at. I would suggest on running the clearances on the high side of stock clearance's. The Olds experts go all over the map on clearance recommendation's.
