Good Morning G-Body Forum. I have been lurking here for several months and have learned a great deal. I am in the process of an LS swap (5.3 LM7) on my 82 Regal. The original 3.8 and 3 speed are gone and just bolted in the new drive train yesterday. I used Dirty Dingo mounts with and LH8 oil pan and I'm pleased with the clearance.
I have a question about the transmission linkage. The car was originally a column shift car. Will I need to get an aftermarket shifter and mount it to the tunnel or is there another way?

Thanks Guys

Do it the same way you would with a 700-R4, which means that your TH200 linkage should work fine - other than your gear selector being off because it is missing a gear.

4l60e doesn't use a TV cable, all electronic.... nevermind I missread the title. The stock linkage should work as long as you can make a bracket for the cross shaft to trans.
