Since everything is 50% off today at the yard I figured I'll go shopping to see if I find anything interesting & please believe I did.
I found some brace bars on a 1986 Cutlass
I wonder what they sell for ?!!

Using a tire as a fan shroud. Why didn't I think of that?

I got 2 sets of blazer spindles, an intrepid fan, Jeep steering shaft and some misc parts for my Jag and Miata's (a cool "ford" valve cover off a '91 Escort GT I'm going to put on to PO the mazda guys).

Saw some weird cars at the Picknpull - a '73 Datsun 240 Z that only had surface rust and most of the the body damage came from the forklift at the junkyard - who would sell a '73 240Z to the picknpull? The other was a straight, rust free '80 Pinto. Sure its a Pinto but it will be crushed in a month and someone is probably looking for a pinto to make a drag car. With all Mustang II based Street rod suspension stuff available, someone could probably make a CAM-T Autocross terrorizing Pinto, too.

For DFW people, a '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee just showed up on Row52 at Dallas South (2nd Street Picknpull) Take a large flat screwdriver, a 13mm box end wrench and a 13mm socket with an extension and you can get the steering shaft for less than $10 total (50% off day) 97.1 the Eagle is supposed to be there today giving away tickets to stuff.

Dallas South is a ghetto junkyard and I try to avoid it, because everytime I go there looking for a part, someone has already broken it trying to remove it with a tire Iron or adjustable pliers or a sledge hammer or a combination of all 3 at once, but this Jeep just showed up yesterday, so there is less chance it has been destroyed.

Finally put my 160 amp alternator on

I have a Powermaster 160 amp cs130 on my car, im driving it with a V belt, man that belt has to be tight as a guitar string or i get a squeal on startup, switching to a serp belt set up on new motor, hope it provides some more grip shun on the belt

You will like the serp belt swap. I used a 92 S Blazer to do mine. Nice and easy. Little wiring for alternator and had HVC hose made. Modified a bracket and was able to use a factory blazer upper hose and a generic t-stat housing. Don't forget you have to change the water pump as it spins opposite.

Put my new factory tach and gauges in. I brought the factory add on gauge kit. I do not recommend the add on gauge kit they are very poor quality and take a lot of trimming to fit. I would buy factory gauges and wire them my self. I may still do that.

I was wiring in my senders, and found my radiator neck leaking. Radiator just opened up a hole can of worms. I have a v6 radiator in the car. I want to switch to electronic fans later this year. The v6 radiator is not as wide as a v8 radiator and my cuty top plate will not fit. I have a nother v6 radiator in my parts car, but don't know if is any good. Going to pull that today and see. The problem is I have a cruise on Friday and really don't want to do the radiator twice.

The one I picked up is a factory GM off a fleet vehicle 12si style Vbelt

Wired up the fuel pump on the GN sender and installed it in the GN tank. Now to pull out the 3 year old Spectra Monte tank and sender and get a little cash back on Craigslist.
