You will like the serp belt swap. I used a 92 S Blazer to do mine. Nice and easy. Little wiring for alternator and had HVC hose made. Modified a bracket and was able to use a factory blazer upper hose and a generic t-stat housing. Don't forget you have to change the water pump as it spins opposite.
Put my new factory tach and gauges in. I brought the factory add on gauge kit. I do not recommend the add on gauge kit they are very poor quality and take a lot of trimming to fit. I would buy factory gauges and wire them my self. I may still do that. View attachment 67063 I was wiring in my senders, and found my radiator neck leaking. Radiator just opened up a hole can of worms. I have a v6 radiator in the car. I want to switch to electronic fans later this year. The v6 radiator is not as wide as a v8 radiator and my cuty top plate will not fit. I have a nother v6 radiator in my parts car, but don't know if is any good. Going to pull that today and see. The problem is I have a cruise on Friday and really don't want to do the radiator twice.

I converted mine from idiot lights to factory gauges with clock and tach. I think I have a gauges dash in attic if you are interested. I put the tach filter on also. Easy swap

Awesome weekend. Drove yesterday 30 miles or so. Went to skeet range today and shot 75 targets and BS'd with my buddies and drove 40 miles or so. Taking other half tomorrow on road trip as she has not been in car since 4 speed was put in. (Need some serious brownie points!!!). Do lunch and such

Took other have today. Only cost me a late lunch and a $30.00 Columbia shirt for her. Ladies.....on sale! Received brownie points but you know how they are. One Awe **** and they are gone.
Got home and readjusted carb and tighten distributor with my old tool set. Used many times as a drivability tech. You all have a great day and
we'll keep the gas pump on

Pulled the carpet. This has always been a bad day for every 20+ year old GM vehicle I've ever bought.

Seats Pulled.

And then, something I was not prepared for and also have never encountered...

I just pulled my maroon carpet out and your floor pan looks way better than mine did. Is your car black?

It's a Christmas miracle. :D Yes, my car was black although it has a horrid paint job with massive orange peel and runs all over it. I attribute the condition of my floors and frame to the fact that every seal on my engine has been shot, probably since new. What a sludgy mess under that car!
