Just put on a set of 8" Snowflakes and they rub on the tie rods.

I've been looking, but does anyone know of a company that makes longer OE type studs? I.E. Same knurl and base diameter. Never anticipated this being a problem, especially seeing several GAs with these wheels on them.

I am going through the same problem at the moment. I have gone the spacer route and put in longer wheel studs.

Jason, what studs did you use? I've looked at Dorman's Specs Catalog, couldn't find anything longer but with the same knurl. There are some Moroso ones I've seen but they are too long.

the Early SAE lug cars have a different knurl diameter, than the later 12-1.5 metric lug cars. You can put on later model rotors and swap in the Lugs from an Hummer H2, which are about 1/2" longer than the factory lugs. Dorman 610-323... note these won't work with 7/16" lug rotors, but rotors are cheap.

Your suggestions are great, and most likely the best way to go. Unfortunately, having just bought 4 new tires, additional expense will have to wait. Looks like I will be taking them off and waiting till I can afford to upgrade.

Thanks, Dave

There is no problem too large that can't be solved by throwing money at it.

The good thing is they are only about $25 each + shipping or $40 each shipped on Prime if you go that route.

Dorman 610-323 are about $12 for a package of 10.

i would start with figuring out what thickness you would need to make the 15x8 wheels work. i would add a washer on 3 of the studs and place the wheel back on. do not drive it this way, just bounce it and turn the steering wheel to verify fitment, making sure the wheel doesn't contact the tie rod, upper ball joint, wheel opening, etc. if more thickness is needed, keep adding washers till it works. once you know the thickness, you can find the right spacer for your needs.

its possible that you may not need new studs.

rule of thumb is that the length of stud protruding from the wheel should be equal to or exceed the diameter of the stud. in you case that would be 7/16.
