I will keep an eye out for it. Need zddp for both my Chevy 305 and for my 70 year old tractor.

My other car uses Valvoline VR1 20-50wt. I was wondering about Valvoline 4-stroke 20-50wt motorcycle oil. It also has zinc in it, but would like to compare the amount of zinc to other oils.

I've always used Lucas and always add it for oil changes as well. They changed the label on the bottle but I've never had an issue. I'm a firm believer in all of their products and use the regular oil stabilizer in everything I own. Power steering fluid, stop leak, zddp, Trans stuff, have all given me great results over the years. The basic additive alone has quieted down noisy motors, freed up lifters, etc. And I've gotten a few trannys that were near dead back to shifting great.

I have a roller cam but the Amsoil oil I use has the ZDDP in it...I think Mobile 1 has it in their oil as well

Mobil 1 has been found to contain molybdenum, which serves the same function, like in assembly lube. "Consumer" Mobil 1 can't have more ZDDP than standards allow, due to premature aging of catalytic converters. Moly doesn't affect cats.

But don't quote me on these claims, I'm just repeating what I've read. :p

Thanks for this tip. I am currently running the old formula QS Defy with an Erson can ZDDP break in additive. Importing ZDDP oil is near impossible. Heck we pay $5+ a quart for junk up here, I see a place in Regina has some.

I have always used the Brad Penn Oil as it has the needed ZDDP already in it, it's made in the USA and is a cool looking green color too :)
