That looks like the same bad boy that I need...
There was a guy not too far from me that offered to sell me one reasonably...I wonder if he might still have it. I guess it couldn't hurt to send him an e-mail and ask him.
It looked just like yours.

I did not make mine, but purchased it from JC Whitney in the 1980s. It was made by Algonquin, which I thin is now out of business. I measured and sketched it while I had it off the car. Why hoard a good idea? I'd be impressed if one can find a new in the box hitch for our vintage cars.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. That does look like a quality made hitch. Your plan looks great, but unless many, or most of the pieces were pre-cut, I'd be unable to duplicate it.
I'm not surprised that that company is no longer in business.
But you're right, why hoard a good idea.

I think it would be fairly simple to replicate it. Only one bend per side, all 3/16" plate and square tube. Saw, grinder torch and MIG. Done.

Can you shoot a link for a class 3? All the ones I have were used and discontinued.
Ok tonight when I get back

My friend had a class 3 on his 84 elcamino. Never knew they were obsolete. Maybe I'd have pulled it before he sold the car if I knew that.
