hey guys I have a quick question so i found this plug was cut and noticed the big red wiring going to this plug which I think is for the choke but not using it. So this big red one is also connected to the big eyelet on the starter wiring so my question is can I use this positive for a volt gauge? My car will have a Ford starter solenoid wired in

On that A/C plug wires are as listed:
Red, circuit 2 feed, battery-unfused 12 AWG
Dark green, curcuit 59 compressor feed 18 AWG
Light green, curcuit 66 feed, A/C selector switch controlled (compressor curcuit) 18 AWG
Black, circuit 150 ground circuit-direct 18 AWG
For a voltage gauge, curcuit 39 feed, ignition switch "on & crank" controlled-fused 20-16 AWG pink/black stripe or use the ignition (IGN) ports on the fuse block.

If all you want is a volt meter just go to the fuse block. Simple and easy. A volt meter just takes a sample while a true ammeter is in series.
