Our cars are to the point where most of them need some major rehab to keep them running. It boggles my brain that as I look at my 86 Monte in the driveway in 2017, it's akin to looking at a 55 Chevy in 1986. I think the fact most of our cars never had a performance reputation will always hold the values back.

As I've noticed with 3rd gen Camaro for awhile no one wants them and now that are making a come back and it seems like some of the g body's are starting to be more deserable.

The LS craze has fueled an interest in G bodies and 3rd gen Camaros. I think it's a good thing.

Definitely good especially with the aftermarket company's providing parts to keep them going for more years and more people getting into gbody cause of the cheaper than 60's cars in some cases. Compared to one of my cars (84 mercury cougar )you can't get any replacement parts except stuff that interchange's with Foxbody mustangs like suspension or drivetrains parts.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks cool. Distress the front/back to match and throw a matte clear on it and call it done? I think I'm becoming consumed by the rat culture.
I love the ratty look too but I want to go back to the stock Hurst look and put my olds 455 in it and make it appear completely stock but be fast. Tons of people keep telling me to clear it and leave the ratty look but I keep getting people thinking I faked the look and it's already built but it really has a slow 307. I want it to look stock and be a sleeper rather than make it look like junk and be a sleeper, to many people have begun to expect junk looking cars are really fast.

Paint it back stock. Just my opinion.

Stock appearing H/O's are gorgeous when clean and done right. There are already a gazillion rusted out H/O's and clones that are half assed running around. Personally, I'm not into that patina thing....maybe on an old truck or rat rod but since you have a real VIN 9 car I would bring it back to its full glory.
