Spend the $400 on the billet forward drum with the welded on shaft, nothing else will last behind that torque.

How are you liking the Street Demon? I assume that is the 750?

After you fix the trans, build an air cleaner like this. I used a 307 air cleaner which actually very restrictive, small inlet and a deflector plate inside blocking air flow. I got the second inlet, which is much larger ironically off a Olds 260 Dualjet air cleaner and removed the deflector. Cut the hole and screwed it on and plumbed it through the inner fenders for ram air. Your 403 needs more air:).

Damn, my bad, of course I meant the direct drum that is burned...

The air cleaner allready is a dual snorkel assembly. Made it from the one I had, I guess its from Olds, but it's pretty big, inside the cleaner goes a 10"x3" cleaner so thats not tiny.

I been happy with the Street Demon! Though I had to get it calibrated by a pro, I couldn't get it where I wanted, since I dont have a lot of experience about adjusting these a bit "rough" engines... at least compared to old 350
