He should have sourced a 2+2 style rear deck spoiler or something similar and it would have just been a cool car instead of an internet joke.
I saw that car for sale on ebay very recently. At first I was intrigued by the 2+2 nose on a regular GP, but then I saw the wing.

they actually made a nice version of the 2 +2, the story is they ran out of the rear over sized rear window to finish up the last few 2+ 2 and here is the result
