I'm curious. What was the source of the noise in second gear?

Cool deal that the fix was straight forward. With your work ethic, it should be ready for a magazine cover by the weekend.

Cheers - Gary
It's actually going to be ready for a T shirt cover by Sunday. Lol. For our G Body cruise T shirts. GP403 is waiting on me to get it finished for the photo.

Ever think of converting the speedo gears so the km/hr cluster is accurate as MPH, so you have a true 140 mph speedo? Should be able to find a drive/driven gear combo that gives you the 1.6 ratio, and then just have an overlay sticker made up to cover the small MPH numbers... you know what I mean?

Yesterday I cut out pieces of 1/2" sew foam and spray glued them to the seat back foam. The cover is tighter but still wrinkly from the seams. Going to try a heat gun and some rubbing to get rid of the wrinkles
