What seats are you guys using for black seats, front and rears?

I know the f body seats are a bolt in but I'm not a fan of the swirly sides that the black leather 02 trans am seats have. But even with those seats, the back seat won't match. Looking for ideas, interested in a black interior but it's looking like a pricey swap with nice aftermarket seats, upholstery for backseat, headliner, carpet, interior pieces. Not including custom brackets and fitment issues.

Looking for proven ideas with work needed to make fit. Pics are always great!

I'm going to swap in stock Monte buckets in my car. I have them already but they need new foam and covers. I also bought a non-pillowtop back seat. You're right. It's not inexpensive.

I've seen the Procar Elite seats in a GN and I thought they looked great. They are a little pricey. I agree with you, I don't care for the look of the F-body (4th gen) seats in our cars.

I saw the procar elite seats and the look nice but expensive and again that just takes car of front seat not rear. I looked at seat covers for cutlass in vinyl but they are like $800!!?

I looked at the 03-ish Monte Carlo SS black leather seats but I'm not 100% on them. I think they are too wide.

I have collected extra interior panels to dye and collected a full set of gm oem seatbelts over the years but the seats are still a question. Spending over $1000 for seats in a driver car has me ready to squash the idea. So I'm looking for bolt in or close to bolt in seats from other cars.

Did you see the PT Cruiser seats Happy Camper put in his car?

I would think something like Cavalier, Grand Am, or first gen S10 seats would be a good fit but those cars are all pretty old so finding nice used seats seems like a stretch.

Maybe the best approach is to go to the junk yards and look for something that fits the bill. Finding something locally in good condition is going to be the key to keep the budget down.

Jared,
Those choices of seats that you mentioned are pretty nice. I was pretty impressed with the PT Cruiser seats. The Cavalier, Grand Am seats have a nice style and seem to have good support. I think you can still find them pretty much at the boneyard with not too much trouble.

If you are trying to keep the cost down I would look for some buckets that you can make work and are the color and material that you want and then take the back seat to an upholstery shop and have them match the material on the buckets.
On my Monte I was considering going black but then decided to go Camel but my front buckets are from Cerullo and I had the visors and rear seat done by an upholstery shop.
