At the 1/2 Mile Shoot-out in Nebraska last week a P90D in Ludicrous mode went 143.3mph in the 1/2 mile - Faster than a new Z06. The Corvette guys still don't believe it. The Hellcats run 144 mph, but the AWD launch of the P90D would make it hard to catch. A '16 CTS-V ran 137 mph.

The Audi RS7 is probably the only stock sedan that can beat a P90D in the standing 1/2 mile drag race.

as Steve points out ...with AC on ? now me asking stereo cranking ? power windows up & down ? power anything cuts the range.

And if EV are so good for the environment ....ask about the carbon footprint of it's battery ( new & disposal ) and how do you create electricity in your state / province ? and what's its carbon footprint ?

just asking

EV's aren't good for the environment. That is all Not in My Backyard BS. They just distribute the pollution to other parts of the globe.

And it's true that it could be worse if the 9 year old child slaves in the cobalt mines of Africa were NOT earning a living for their family, I mean they could be joining a warlord's army and killing people so digging Cobalt 12 hours/day so rich guys can drive taxpayer subsidized cars that make them "feel superior" is totally worth it.

OK not to start a war ,I agree with some but not all of your points.
The electricity that runs your home has no carbon foot print in your state ?

Carbon Dioxide is truly "What Plants Crave". The entire "Carbon Footprint" concept is bad science brought to us by people who seek control, not a "clean" environment. NOTHING in the air makes plants "greener" than CO2.

We could have been spending the Trillions wasted fighting REAL pollution and not some CO2 bogeyman. I'm sure the residents of Flint, Mi would have appreciated that. Something to watch for in the future is when pretty much EVERYONE gets labeled "denier" because they ask questions about why the CO2 Emperor is naked.

I'll just sit back with my PBR and munch my popcorn

If it wasn't for "Green House gasses" (mostly water vapor) the earth would be about 57 degrees F cooler than it is given our orbit around the sun.

If it wasn't for the .4% of CO2 in the atmosphere, the planet would be dead. If we doubled the CO2, the planet would likely become a lush, green more atmospheric stable, forest planet and not an "OMG! we are all going to die unless we destroy all industry" planet.

Just remember "never let a crisis go to waste" even if its a manufactured crisis.

If it wasn't for the "global warming" that happened in the last 15,000 years, 90+% of Canada would still be under a MILE OF ICE. SUV's or "carbon" didn't cause these ice sheets to melt and the sea level to rise 350 feet. On the north shore of the great lakes, glacial rebound is still causing the land to rise FASTER than global sea levels are rising (over 5,000 years after the last glacier on the great lakes is gone)

I was just in the Nebraska sandhills. 350 ft high sand dunes covered in grass. When was the last time they were blowing/drifting sand? In 1,000 AD during the medieval warm period (which the godfather of the OMG we are all going to die Climate Hockey stick says was limited to Europe), when native americans flourished in places that are nearly uninhabitable today (try living a week off the land in Chaco Canyon. NM or Mesa Verde. CO). I dare ANYONE who owns a Tesla to try this.. It might take them a couple days to get their first, that doesn't count in their week.

The Climate is always changing and hucksters and salesmen always find a way to make a buck. Some people finds its easier to make a buck when you can get it straight from the guy who prints it.

Funny, that was what we were taught in school back in the dark ages (no mass internet, cell phone, Doc was needing plutonium for the Delorean, Atari 2600 was the game system to have.) Now they teach that this is all new caused by the advances of the 20th century. What going to happen when summers feel like winters?
