Things are changing daily in the Ls world. Been doing ALOT of searching too. But If I had 1500 to spend and didn't want to do any cutting and welding What headers would you use with your standard set back plates.
I really would like Long tubes too. Right now I'm looking at American racing and ultimate headers. I would love to see some pics of your high end gbody lsx header installs. Headman will fit but might hang a little low. Tell me if I'm wrong. Not sure if hooker has long tubes, and not sure If they work with set back plates. ( I know what they recommend).
Just thinking ahead. And looking to buy myself a nice Xmas present!!!!

I have decided to long-tube headers from Holley. While I would prefer better quality headers; I'm going to purchase the set from Holley that are painted and send them out for ceramic coating. These long tube headers also do not hang down that low so you will have good ground clearence. Search for "Holley G Force One" it is an 87 GP.

I hope it is ok to post links:
From the Holley Site

Here is a good thread featuring their swap stuff: Go to page 38 post 746 to see how good the ground clearence is.

I took a look at that LS1tech post. And although those headers seem to fit REAL well. If you read a little bit, the guy says he was using john b mounts and CUSTOM HEADERS.

Hookers work fine with setback plates.
