My 2013 Mustang Hood vents just drip rain between the motor and frame. Driving, no water goes in them. Same with my 2+2, but my Mustang is my only rain car. Every thing else I own gets squirelly in the rain or needs tires with more tread.

If you put an open filter on a '13-14 Mustang, they will drip on the filter, so people sell a deflector. That only for when it is sitting in the rain.

A valid point. I wonder what their duct work is like.

There is not much to the ducting. They just have a smoothish path from the core support airdam up to the front of the radiator. The slot between the back of the bumper and front of the radiator is surprisingly narrow. A Gbody can pack more air in front of the radiator.

I have a crazy idea for venting for my hood. I have a old louvered panel from a old rusted out pool heater that I could cut up into strips and weld them on as patches on the hood. The panel itself is ok, the rest of the heater is long shot. Figured it is a cheap way to add vents on my hood. Is it a good idea or crazy?

I would try that if you have a spare hood in case it didn't work out

I only have the one original hood. Currently I have it off the car to do a seam repair, and the hood really could stand a repaint while its off.
