Since you're using the SS rear cover, ever thought of using 3M or Lord-Fusor bumper rear materials to fill & smooth the LS cover after removing the chrome trim?

The problem with the rear bumper is not the chrome strips.

They are plastic and could be painted or removed like you suggested.

The problem is the LS bumper is it's wider to match up to the stainless side body trim.

So with the SS bumper it now sits flush with the quarter panel.

Well at this point I am at a stand still.

I need to replace a section of the drivers side floor and the passenger side torque box.

The floor doesn't bother me, I knew it needed it but the torque box is really annoying me.

I really didn't want to get to deep into this build since i am not a huge fan of Montes.

So not sure what i will be doing with the car at this point.

It's really not that bad but I would assume for the torque box i will have to pull the body off the chassis and really did not want to do that to this car.

Well I popped off the remaining nipples on the drivers side just to realize I was out of grey primmer.

Found a can of black so just used that.

I was just going to paint the car the factory silver again to make things easy for me.

But now that I see the black on it I am not so sure.

I guess my engine choice will decide the color................................................

I have a black 87 LS with a full black vinyl top, black body and gray bottom. Just to compare to what black vs silver may look like.
