I am not as familiar with what CCC setups the 4.3s had, but generally each engine family had its own unique CCC setup. Buick 231s had one setup, Chevy 305s had a different setup, and Olds 307s had yet another setup. Also Qjets and Dualjets are very application specific carbs, and a Buick Djet maybe setup too small for a 4.3 Chevy. I know with Qjets, Chevy ones used much larger air bleeds than BOP Qjets. I do know that later 4.3s used in MCLSs had TBI instead of carbs.

What is the difference? Distributor?
Yes the distributor is different. Chevy in the back Buick in the front. For starters. You would be able to use the carb but fuel inlet would be at wrong place. And would not be properly tuned.

A 4.3 TBI setup would be an easier to find swap.

I think I will just go with a carb for now. I may just bite the bullet and go with a microsquirt setup later on. I've just got to figure out what to do with all that wiring now...

The computer wiring harnesses are vary easy too swap out. You could swap out the Buick ccc harness for 4.3 TBI harness if you find a good one.
