So, heres a photo of the Ozite front and back. Not that much of a difference but the lighter color is the back. The front is a little more fuzzy. In the second picture you can see how it looks compared to a piece of standard ACC carpet. Its pretty close in color. Not exact but I think its close enough for the bottoms of the doors.
The guy in the upholstery shop said it sticks better then the carpet from ACC with the poly backing thats in the third photo. I also bought a can of heat resistant spray adhesive from yourautotrim.com.

The last photo is the pattern for the front door panel. Im taking all this stuff to the shop tomorrow. Hopefully it wont take long to get it all back. The door panel will be done in the grey vinyl thats on the seats and will have an insert coming up from the lower done in the same cloth thats on the seats and rear door panels. One large pleat in the center and five smaller ones on each side of it. Like the back insert if you can see it well.
I wanted the pleated insert coming up from the bottom. Kinda like a Monte SS panel only reversed.
I hope it comes out okay. I really hate this crap. LOL

Mich,
The carpet that I bought for the rear was thinner than the floor carpet mainly because the floor kit was mass backed....which makes it easier to cut and trim.

As for Scott, he's been MIA for quite a while now.

Jack,
When you bought the ACC carpet did it have the old style backing or the new poly back like the piece in my photo ? I used their carpet in my 81. I got the unbacked carpet for the door panels. The only color they sell that has that style backing now is black. I even asked the customer service people if they could give me names of distributors that might have any left and they couldnt help me at all.
