Ordered the crossmember under the rear seat that the #4 body mounts bolt to. It has a few soft spots. Anybody have preferences on a 1 piece floorpan, or are they basically all from the same stamping?

Cleaned up around them - the aftermath from the last two projects was overwhelming. I find it so peaceful to hang out in the garage, listening to the radio, while cleaning and sorting my tools. My moment of Zen.

Next I have to start getting organized for the Monte build over the Winter.

Finally got a new hood for my car - the old one was bent in a little incident I had while swapping my intake manifold last spring. Picked it up from the body shop this morning

Also I copied an idea from a member that I saw in the junkyard parts thread

Continued on with the body lift. The park brake cables were rusty even though I remember adjusting them at the rear disc brake swap. No matter, new ones coming from Rockauto and the old ones met with the cut off wheel. The driver's side lower fender bolt and driver's side nose bracket to fender hardware also met with the cutoff wheel. I hate rust........

Boring, tedious crap! With the Cutlass awaiting new paint, I realized I never finished cleaning 30 years of weatherstripping gunk out of the channels. So I've gotten busy with a wire brush and some lacquer thinner to get em cleaned up and ready for new seals!

It's parked in my garage. I really wanted to take it out on the road today to celebrate my birthday but the salty film on the pavement said no!
Pics when I do, weather might be better this week. I'm not ready to let go.

EDIT: My mental maturity age is 1/3 of my actual age....yeehaah.

Later on today me and my dad are gonna go trying to find some heater apparatus to heat out teeny 1 car garage during the winter, makes it more livable. I think this week is supposed to be the last "nice" week for a while. low 50s all week. Gotta call up a local place tomorrow and see how much they charge to weld up some of my exhaust manifolds. Ain't got $500+ for headers, nor the money for the exhaust.
Also, my cam should be here by thursday. :D
