Hello everyone .... Got a question for all the SBC engine guys. I am building a 350 + .040. I came across a pair of 993 heads that I am looking to use for the build. I noticed that the rocker arms are self aligning and also have the narrow pushrod holes. I also have a set of Comp Cams Magnum roller tips that I picked up at a swap meet. (before I got the heads). I`d like to know if I can use them w/o problems. They are the non self aligning type.
Another question I have is, Do I need to install the o-rings on the valves. I swapped out the umbrella`s for positive type seals. I see that the current Vortec heads use these seals and no o-rings. Good to go or no ??
