What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Spent the night figuring out why it took 80ftlbs to turn my shortblock over. The P/O rebuilt it and stamped the rods and caps. Little did I know the #5 and #6 rods were stamped on one side, while their corresponding caps were stamped on the other. I put them number to number, like the other 6 were, assuming all was well. All was not well. Turned em around, voila. Also, caps #2 and #3 were swapped. The #2 stamp didn't take as well as the others, and upside down, looked like a 3 to me. Whoops. It's all sorted now, only takes 20ftlbs to rotate. I also assembled my heads, and my brother painted his minibike engine. Looks pretty nifty.

on a SBC the lock tabs on the connecting rod bearing are always on the same side, it is not the same on an Olds?

*Buick. And yes, it is. That'll teach me to get 3 hours of sleep and be up for 13.
