I don't mind paying a few extra $$ for quality products especially when it comes to safety. For winter wiper wipers I don't like the some of the "winter" advertised wipers that freeze and/or clog up with snow. I looked at winter wipers reviews last year and bought the Trico Extreme Weather Ice blades last winter. They worked great but when taking my Jeep out this year the blade on the driver's side was torn. It's like the pressure of the arm resting on the blade cracked the rubber of the blade when the blase is attached to the body of the wiper. It's parked in the summer under trees so the wiper was not sun baked. The passenger side wiper is in perfect shape. It's only about $30 for a new blade but I don't like throwing away money if I don't have to so I emailed Trico yesterday about the issue never thinking I'd get a reply but I received an email back today saying they are sending me a new wiper. I like companies who stand behind their products......:)

Surprising that they'd replace one so old. I would never expect the useful life of wipers to be over a year. I usually put new sets on in the fall when it starts raining and they're typically worn out in the spring when the rain stops. Rains alot in the NW. I would imagine life is much shorter when ice is factored in.

I put my Jeep on the road last year close to the end of December and bought those blades soon after that so the blades were on in use for about 4 months. I clean off the windshield of ice and snow before I drive cause the ice can destroy a blade quickly. I was surprised they are going to replace it cause with so many people out there doing crazy stuff how would they know I am one of the highest regarded citizens of any town that is lucky enough to have me.....
