lookin good D!

Thanks Darin, appreciate it man!

When you google B pillar repair and end up re-reading the olds cool thread to find exactly what you were looking for......

Love your work Donovan!

Thanks very much man. I’m glad the work that’s gone into this and the documentation I’ve provided is going to good use! That’s kinda the whole point. To show guys that seemingly insurmountable and daunting problems can be overcome with a little forethought and by breaking them down into smaller, more manageable chunks.

I saw the rust damage you’re facing on your Regal, so far it doesn’t seem as catastrophic as what I had to deal with. Hopefully that remains to be the case for ya. Thanks for the feedback on finding resolutions to your issues via google, that makes me very happy to know it’s helping you out.

Btw, I’m loving the projected stages you’ve got planned for the Regal, I look forward to following along with your progress as you really get rolling. Being that you’re not all that far away from me there in Red Deer, feel free to drop me a line if you’re ever in town and want to meet up. A guy can never have too many gearhead friends!

Cheers,
Donovan

Another real quick update:

Santa came again today for Olds Cool in the form of some more parts via forum members.

A right hand taillight to replace one of the ones on the car.
This was sent to me free of charge from dr78442 when he read on the thread here that both of the taillight lenses I currently have on the car are cracked. He wouldn’t accept anything for it, simply because one mounting tab was broken, just to cover the cost of shipping. That’s going over and above IMO. Thanks Mike, your kindness and generosity is without equal.

And another set of hardtop filler panel clips from a gentleman in Las Vegas. I was put into contact with him via another member here, thanks Victor! Very much appreciated man!

That’s it for now, should be ready for another update after this Sunday.
:)

Till then,
D.

Donovan, great updates. Most individuals would work with the heat to fix that panel. It's great to see you sharing that in detail, it helps the hobby along. I use my stud gun with a shrinking tip these days, easier IMO, different means to the same end.

I've but lucky enough to have members send me items for the cost of shipping, this is definitely a great community.

Looking forward to more progress!

You don’t have to invite me twice!! I would be thrilled to come down and check out your workshop and both cars. If you don’t mind having someone as excited as a 6yr old on Christmas morning ask you a million questions.

Lol
You’re more than welcome to anytime man. I always enjoy bench racing and talking cars with like minded guys. Throw in the fact that you’re another G body guy and only good things can come from it!

And I wouldn’t mind whatsoever answering questions. I’d enjoy walking you through all the things I’ve done on them, especially The Juggernaut. That one is special to me.

Either shoot me a PM when you get a chance or I’ll try to send you one maybe tonight, and we’ll talk more.
:)
