Damn it! Got all up in a bunch of stuff. It was on top of the gray box, and I kicked it while scooting around under the truck. I have not been having a good car year. I hope 2018 goes better.

Been there, done that.

It is still less embarrassing than being the entitled, lazy, shitbird sitting in his car at the drive through oil change place yelling from his window like he was at Rotten Ronnie's.

It might have made less of a mess if you just drained directly onto a pile of oil dry, at least there would be nothing to spill.

Permanent Temporary
1988, Friday night. Other tow truck driver shows up with his diesel pickup, dressed to go out. (You know this is going to go badly). Thinks he'll do a quick oil change. Loses his grip on the old filter full of liquid coal, it flips and lands on his head. Can't tell the red from the black. Still has to drive home covered in oil, sitting on a trash bag, to wash his hair 10x and throw away his clothes. And needed a couple stitches once he could see his scalp again. Oh, did I mention he sported a mullet?
