Got my new fangled TH350 installed, pan on with a new gasket, kickdown cable snaked up. Also installed my first shift kit in the thing. I didn't put the "accidentally throw your car into 1st at highway speed" feature, I think it's actually called low control. Just don't like the idea of that in a street car. Didn't make my self imposed due date, but what can ya do. Tomorrow I'm gonna get some fluid and fill it up and see if it works. Then later this week get two new tires for the rear.
Sidenote; I have a 75,000 btu heater in my garage where I do my car stuffs, and it heats everything 5" off the ground and higher. The ground is cold enough the snow melting off my car would refreeze once it hit the ground. It's unnecessarily cold.

Got a 8.5 posi has a bent axle but that's it...
8.5 posi is better than no 8.5 posi. :p Also perfect excuse for a new carrier and 30 spline axles.

Nada, too damn cold here to play in the shed with no heat. So I went to my brother n laws to drop my niece off, and while there I checked out his uncle's '69 AMX. He has a wood stove so it was nice and toasty in there. He has spent the last few weeks grinding and prepping the chassis for POR15.
Here is a pic of the engine bay done with aerosol....

Got one lower control arm brace welded in and the other fabbed up. The way I made them should leave room for the UMI upper arm to lower arm bars.

That's it?!?!? All this hoopla over the trans swap and we only get 3 sentences, WTF lol!!!
Congrats young man, be easy on this drivetrain...said no one ever!
There's not really much to report to be honest. Yeah, I'm happy it works, but this is what... the 5th time it's been down? I am relieved to see the shift kit works as I wanted, nice crisp quick shifts, but not hard and jerky. Its still snowy here so I couldn't really romp on it, but it works. I went for a celebration burger at a place near me called B Bops. Turbo Zach knows what I'm talkin bout, being from Iowa as well.
