That was one of the things I loved about the old '94 LeSabre I had before the Camry. It had a 120 mph speedo, a tach, voltmeter, oil psi, and water temp gauges from the factory. I ran 15w40 Chevron Delo in it and the motor was spotless inside. It was too bad the car around it rusted away.

I love the Taurus wagons from that generation, I'd buy one if I could find a clean one.
Joe,
I miss not having a tach in the car. This is probably the first and only one of my cars that does not include a tach in it. From what I can ascertain, these cars were meant for old people who were not concerned with rpm, oil pressure, voltage output, etc...not that I'm a spring chicken anymore.

Longroof79, I remember it having a few auxiliary gauges. I think it had a voltmeter and one other. Maybe oil pressure?
Ed,
I agree. Some of these cars did include a full array of gauges. I recall seeing sport model Cieras in the junkyard a while back with full gauges, bucket seats, and ground effects, etc.
Too bad I didn't grab one of the gauge clusters at the time.

2000 Honda Accord SE.
Got it blown up for 400 bucks.
Had 108k on it and pushed the front balance shaft oil seal out which caused the cam to eat the head and seize up, shearing the cam gear timing key off. I Mcgruber'd it back together by pushing the seal back in, making a retainer out if a big washer, clearanced the cam bearing with an angle grinder and welded the cam gear back on. Never took the old timing belt off, just jammed the gear under it and pushed the cam down. I drove it for a year like that. I had ordered a replacement engine the week after I got the car and replaced all the balance shaft, cam, and crank seals. New water pump, timing belt, and balance shaft belt. I put it in the car a few weeks ago as I was growing more nervous about the cobbled together sh*t show under the hood.

04 Rainier with a 5.3. 226K. Nice thing is they don't rust like the 99-06 pickup series. I've had it for 50K miles. Small enough to park in normal garages and big enough to tow trailers and fit stuff.

If it actually gets wrecked or something I can't fix, I'm buying an 07/08 envoy denali. Gen 4 5.3 and probably find a lower mile one.

I'd like a '12ish v8 canyon or Colorado, but can't fund one under 14k in decent shape.

Won't get a pickup because I don't like big vehicles.

Right now the daily is my Wagon, because it's winter. I also use it the rest of the year as the beater, and take the kids to baseball and football practices where they can get in with their muddy cleats, and our Golden Retriever rides in the back. The roof rack gets a workout on runs to Lowes. My daily from April through November is my 78 Olds Delta 88 of which I'm the third owner. I bought it as-is minus the wheels and tires about five years ago with 66,000 miles. Now has 99,000. 350/350 trans and still blows cold with R12 in the AC system.

This is the '13 Silverado that I just bought a couple of months ago. My '11 GMC was starting to show its age and it had just shy of 90K miles. It needed a bunch of stuff so I traded it in and got this. Its a one owner truck with 21K miles on it. Drove almost 7 hours to MD to get it. So far its great. The truck behind it is my wifes '10 Yukon.

Mich,
You finally were able to find a replacement for the "old" truck. Looks like a nice clean truck.

2002 Ford Ranger with 4x4, 4.0L V6, and auto trans. Recently I replaced the rotted out stock exhaust with a Dynamax kit I got on sale. Battery powered grinder sure came in handy. Also planning to get a sedan soon to join the motor pool.
