I have the quarter panel plastic out of my car for my unplanned interior redo.

The rear, metal headliner trim had a screw on each end of it. It seems to have some sort of metal clip in the middle. Can anyone tell me how to disengage that clip and/or show me a picture of it? I want to remove the trim piece and paint it black.

Thanks guys!

that's them.... might as well go ahead and order up a set... the arms spring out into the roof ribbing, and as old as our stuff is, it's almost impossible to get them out without breaking.... I picked up a set a few years ago from gbodyparts fr the Regal, but will be using them on the GP...

FYI, when you look at your trim you might notice little v shaped notches along one edge. The notch is where the center of the clip goes. This way theres no guess work on how to line them up with the slots

Jared when I did the headliner in my Malibu I bought extra clips...

The one on the left is for the front trim and the one on the right is for the rear trim...

Bringing topic back up. Doing my headliner and I need some clips. Front and back. There has to be some other aftermarket clip that would work and do the same thing.
Anybody know of anything.

A guy on ebay has 1 for $12. No WAY am I paying that much.
