Most likely my 86' Regal project will end up with a SBC under the hood and I will be retaining the AC but my plan is to keep the compressor on the passenger side using the Olds 307 set up and I was going fabricate some brackets to mount it there.
So I am telling my buddy what my plan was and he tells me he has passenger side AC brackets from his old Suburban( I believe 87') and he said it is a v-belt and the small compressor like mine.
Does anyone know if they came like that? And do they still use a long water pump in truck applications?
I thought the passenger side mounts where only on serpentine set ups.

From what I remember the B, C, G, & 2nd gen F bodies with SBC's used the same brackets in the time our cars were built but can't recall how the trucks are set up.

I thought the compressor was on the driver's side on all square body trucks, whether it was an R4 or A6?

He swears it's passenger v-belt R4 but I question his memory since it has been over a decade since he parted that truck out.
I have a feeling I will be fabricating brackets.

His truck also came with a 1 piece rear main 350 roller block but was not fully machined so it only had a flat tappet cam.

I took a 92/94 S blazer and converted my El C to a serpentine belt. Has passenger side AC compressor. Just had to have hose made. Slick set up and pretty easy. Remember a serpentine water pump turns opposite of a v belt.

I am asking about passenger side v-belt brackets if they exist in another application, the complete ac set up from the 307 will carry over I will just need brackets to mount the compressor to that side, if they don't exist I will make them.

I bought a Serp drive off a 92 Firebird it locates the compressor on the passenger side.
