Hope that 442 works out for you Christian! I thought about that one real hard the first time it was listed....and like you say at the lower price too.
I know he paid $4500 an it didn't have rust and a sagging headliner. I plan on checking the trunk codes and making sure the G80 is there, he claims it. If I do get it, I will pull the headlight''s, grills, and marker lights off my 88 along with a few other items and drive it to the wreckers. I will save $500 a year for licensing for the 6 months I drive it, actually $830 for a full year. I plan on fixing the ailments and maybe adding the Thorton shorties, with a Pipes down pipe and adding my 350 but make it look stock a year or two from now. I would see what the stock 442 runs at the track:).

What are the Thornton shorties? Are they the same as the Thornton manifolds?

No, actual shorty headers similar to Sanderson's except they are stainless steel and have stock hook up points at least for pre-catalytic converter cars, a set of Pypes down pipes, listed for the 455 would be needed to tie into dual exhaust or a Y pipe made from their down pipes.

Wow Christian, those are pretty darn cool! I love those - being a BOP guy my opinion might be biased.. are those available in the states?

They're on eBay so yes they're available in the US. I would have bought those in a heartbeat back when I still had my 350 or even my stock 307 in my 442. I would even get a set for my wimpy 260 in my 78 but I decided to keep it stock.
