As far as a 3/4 or 1 ton costing the same as a 1/2 ton? You're nuts. Try an additional 10k if they are optioned EXACTLY the same.
Saw these on FB, just to stir the pot

If that covered the vents that are on the back of the cab, I would go for that in a heartbeat.

Ahh...the end-or-the era Studebaker pickup look with the mismatched bed behind the Lark cab...There's a restored one of these rolling around my town, and it looks...weird.

Unfortunately, my memory is such that I can't help mucking about, sometimes clicking a different option...

But here's 3 2018 F150, f250, and f350 trucks. All lariat trim, all 4x4, all Automatic, all super cab with that hated 6.5' bed.

I didn't bother going through and loading up option like I'd like to save time. What you want to be concerned with is the base price of each. I can't control default color and crap ford selects that mucks with options, just remember that same trim gives you same options so base price is where we worry.

I'll correct myself, it looks like THIS year in the 18s there's a whopping $200 in the base price for a 3/4 ton and $1k more for a 1 ton. My point remains the same. And no, it's not any $10k to jump up unless a local dealer is slashing stickers to move junk that's sat on the lot from over ordering 1/2 tons and guys paying closer to sticker to get the "rarely ordered" heavier truck...

It really sounds absurd utility you actually pull the base prices on the models with same trim, drive, etc... I will note you get a bigger and better engine in the 3/4 and 1 tons that they won't offer in the 1/2 ton

In other news here's a white 3/4 ton longbed stepside. This one's overseas in saudi, so, that may be where the red was headed.

I want to know if these beds are aftermarket, or available through the gm dealer... a brand new long stepper instead of pieceing them from used parts sure would be nice... makes my dented up store of long set parts obsolete, but, a tradeoff I'd gladly make!

Thanks, interesting post....but they lost me at $45K. That's a lot of money for something to drive to work and back.

I like 2 tone trucks - 1993 and 1973. And then there's my current refurb project - a different type of 2 tone.

But, the monthly payment is pretty significant between the F150 and SDs.

That step side looks like crap they def. don't belong together it looks like they pulled a bed of an 84 chevy step side and threw it on , I predict a lot of 73-87 square bodys getting new bed like the 67-72s did with the 88-98 beds, and long bed step side WTF no one ever bought those, I guess they think this time , this time, this time, LOL
