so I just rebuilt the t5 with the help of Paul Cangliosi's custom rebuild kit. Comes with all the bearings, syncros, slider clips, springs, etc. never done one before but you can't learn if you don't do anything. It was actually really easy after I had it apart four or five times to make sure everything was right. After I got this one done I did my spare t5 and it was even easier than the first one. Funny how that happens. Anyway, I got the new 26 lb flywheel in and a new centerforce clutch but here in Ohio it is snowing. So when I can get it on the road and test it out I will report back!
Here is some pics of my shifter.

Looks great! What shifter and console plate are you using?

It is the pro 5.0 shifter and the plate I bought from Mikes Montes. Then I cut it out to fit the 3rd gen Camaro shifter boot. Thanks also for the thumbs up!

Thanks 696! My crossmember looks good. it is a double hump crossmember for a 700r4. Tomorrow I will get it up on the lift and get a pic for you. I just figured out how to post pics not long ago and I want to post some!

I used a T5 from an F-body with a G-body bellhousing. I do things the hard way.

A challenge is what keeps us motivated! I used the tilted Camaro bellhousing for my first manual trans conversion and I couldn't find a g body one or the linkage so I did it this way with hydraulics.

Also, what did you do with the shifter? Is it pointed away from you since the trans is straight now? Sorry I can't make out the pic very well and I can't make it bigger.

The advantage of doing it the hard way is that the shifter was straight up and down.
