Taking a car apart with all my health issues was kinda foolish. Taking ANOTHER car apart before the first one was 100% finished was just pure stupidity. But it keeps me out in the garage and out from under my wifes feet. LOL

One step close to getting the motor back in. LOL
Scuffed the crossmember and sprayed it with SEM Hot Rod Black. I really like spraying that stuff. I still need to pick up a mount and a bunch of grade 8 and 10 hardware. This week I hope to freshen up the paint on the TH350 and respray the driveshaft.
Still trying to fix the right side directionals.

Lookin' good, Mich.
Every little bit counts. Hope you're feeling well enough to finish this project.
Were you able to get the wiring issue sorted out?

Jack,
This electrical issue is wearing me down. I have all the dash lights working now. I pulled the cluster out as far as I could since I didnt really want to cut the tach harness and I was able to pull every light socket out. When I bench tested each one (something I should have done BEFORE I put it back together) it turned out more than half of them wouldnt work. Cleaned the contacts, same bulb, didnt matter. I was lucky to have a bunch of spares and most of them worked so thats finished.
The front right directional is still an issue. It actually started blinking the other day but it stopped and I cant get it to work again. Ive checked the grounds, the socket, the fuse block, the bulb. All good. Now Im redoing the factory multi wire junctions. Instead of the old soldered tabs Ive been cutting the wires, stripping a little off and Ive been using the internals of a butt connector in its place. I drill a small hole on the back, crimp it all together and then heat the tube enough to feed some solder into the hole. Then I shrink tube the whole thing. They seem pretty sturdy. I'll see if it makes a difference after theyre all done.

Well, good luck with that. I hope you'll have it all rectified.

I remember having a few issues putting the new dash in and putting the body back together.
None of my dash lights worked...well almost. It turned out to be a bunch of bad bulbs and some of the sockets were bad....and I had to swap out the printed circuit. It's pretty much what you've been encountering.

The lighting issues were just a matter of going over the ground connections and playing with bulbs....nothing serious.
