Sorry, but I'm keeping this one close to the chest.
I understand your sentiment due to the fact that it's such a gem. Although I wad just trying to be funny -- sometimes (mostly) my humor goes unappreciated. :) haha

Definitely get the original wheels, they have dollar value if they are in good shape, unlike the 307. I would ask to see receipts on the 2004R build up and I would add Yukon spider gears at minimum to the stock 7.5" rear which is probably a 3.73 open. I would personally drive that thing everywhere, it is a cool custom.

I don't want that rear either. I'll be on the hunt for another 8.5" rear if the deal is done.

Cmon Qdub. You waiting for it to sell or what? Go get that sucker. I want an 83 or 84 and probably will eventually snag one. I do want the original engine though.

I won't be back in the country until the 25th. That's what's prolonging the transaction. I want to see it and drive it before I shell out that much cash.

If I can actually get the car, and it does still have the 7.5", probably $250 after I acquire another 8.5". I already have one 7.5" just taking up space.

After all of the negotiating and traveling, I ended up not purchasing the car. I really wanted it, and still want it, but the seller and I could not reach an agreement on a specific meeting place to conduct the transaction. My time Stateside was very limited as I had a ton of personal and family matters to handle while in the area, and the seller was a very busy business owner himself. Hopefully the car will still be on the market the next time that I'm Stateside and I'll have more time to try to close that deal.
