I originally bought a custom fit Griffin for my 81 but to be honest I didnt like the way it fit. The tanks arent even close in size to the original. I hacked up a few sets of rubber saddles to try to make them fit and they all looked like crap. I wound up getting a 4 row brass/copper radiator from US Radiator. Really well made.

The Griffen works great in the Monte but I wanted the largest aluminum radiator I could get in there and I wasn't worried about making it fit a shroud and I was pleased with how well the Champion fit in the Regal shroud without modifications which was a nice change from what I typically do on the Monte but different goals for each car.

Like I have said, my Champion 3 core ran between 195 and 210 with a 160 high flow thermostat and Stratus electric fans. Towing, it would hit 230. The 403 cooled better with 2 core aluminum with 1" tubes that started leaking, a better design IMHO. It was a well made rad, it just wasn't big enough and air flow may have been an issue. The same rad ran 10 to 15 degrees cooler in my Olds powered 4x4. I say get a 2 core with 1" or bigger tubes.

Where did you get the shroud from? Did it come with the fans?
The fans and shroud come as one unit commonly known to us as the "Intrepid fan set up".
Sorry, I couldn't find a bigger picture.
