I'm getting ready to upgrade the front brakes with a set of blazer units but i don't have the blazer hose brackets. are the blazer 2wd brackets the same as the 4wd brackets? the pick n pulls in my area have a ton of 4wd blazers to get them from. just wondering if they would work.

why do you need the blazer hose brackets if you are not using blazer brake lines. the blazer brake upgrade uses the factory g-body hoses.

I used the Blazer hose brackets on mine and later found out that they weren't necessary...you could use the standard G-body brackets. The Blazer brackets slightly change the angle of the hoses...plus it requires bending the brake line slightly.

well, to answer my question, no they are not the same, they don't even exist. stopped at the pnp and took one look at a 4wd blazer and saw the hose bolts to the upper control arm. takes car of that. i'll just bend up my own.

i've seen pics and i like the blazer brackets better. and I'm not worried about twisting the brake line, thats easy and does not effect the operation of the line.

That's the least of it. It should be easy enough to bend up your own brackets. I notice that at the end that bolts to the frame, there's a little lock tab on the bracket that fits into a hole that probably helps keep it steady and in one position. I think as long as it fits snugly against the frame you should have no issues.
