Another horded car. I wouldn't call it a barn find. Someone bought it as an investment, as did the other owners, & kept it warehoused. Good luck to the next owner of a museum car.

I wouldn't pay 71,000 for a car with t tops. I wouldn't pay 7.00 for a t top car.

Eh...It's OK, I guess. I get it, GNs/GNXs are relatively rare, and people get boners for low-mile survivors or "barn finds." The way I see it, I have the best of both worlds...A clean, relatively straight and rust-free survivor, but not one that's so rare, I'm afraid to do anything to it. The Regal wagons were only two model years. In CA, I think they were only offered with the 3.8 2-bbl. I've decided I want to keep the outer look, but a comprehensive frame-off restomod. If I had that kind of scratch just sitting around, I might go for it, but I'd want to drive it on a semi-regular basis.

The truth is that 15 years ago, zero mile '87 GN's were selling for Sticker, there were so many of them. I personally knew 3 people, that I met through work or other car makes (like AMC), that didn't even know I had Turbo Regals, and they had a "zero mile" "All Option" '87 GN squirreled away somewhere. One guy (An AMC guy in NC) had it walled off inside his house.

Because they didn't drive these cars back when other cars sucked and GN's were world beaters, they missed out on the the entire experience. The guy buying this is going to miss out on the experience, too,

I'm 100% positive this car will go to a "museum" and never be driven. I'm also positive this isn't the last of the zero mile, All Option '87 GN's to show up on E-bay. $70K could start a trend, and pull more out of the woodwork, like $40K at BJ did for this car.

Hoarded, unused, "investment grade" barn-find cars make me completely flacid.
