I'm still trying to decide to turbo mine or not

I'm concerned about fitmet. My battery would need to remain under the hood. I'm seriously considering it though
I would like to know if the Holley turbo manifolds are going to place a single turbo well enough to work for me

I still have the battery under my hood, just moved it to the other side.
The Holley manifolds will work I would say. It will position the turbo closer to the engine and allow you to keep the battery in the same spot. I'm not sure about the crossover however. That might be a bit of a squeeze

Well she's running and driving! Slowly getting the tune worked out. Idle and cruising are solid, coming up on boost is another story lol. I'm getting there though. And learning as I go.

On another note, I love being a fellow hot rodder. Between the help I've received on here, other pages and people in my home town, it's really humbling how much we look out for one another.
A guy I work with, noticed my wagon the first time I drove it to work. Neither one of us had any idea the other was a hot rodder. We got to talking and he mentions that he has a set of wheels and tires on a project that he thinks would look great on mine. That he was getting new ones and wanted his old ones to go to someone who needed them. When he found out about my project, he knew exactly where they needed to go. And he gave me a ridiculously good deal on them. I had originally planned on just running my steelies or maybe some Cragar Soft 8s. But I couldn't pass up his offer and am really glad I didn't. I think they really go with the car well and I've been dreaming of different wheels for this car since I was a kid. Thanks to a fellow hot rodder who was wanting to help out another.
Sorry to get all soft. But it's been a really humbling experience.
Here's a few pics of the wheels on the far, a few of the engine bay and even one with my ugly mug in it lol.
Awesome project. I really admire guys like you. You're 26 years old and you have a classic car with a LS swap with a turbo that YOU built. Very cool. I was 37 before I had the wherewithal to do my first cam swap and consider my truck my first 'hotrod'. Keep up the good work.

Good to hear
If I go turbo I'll use those manifolds
Looks like the crossover should actually work easy

The only issue I would have is the placement of the turbo and will it delete my ac

I want my ac compressor still

Thank you sir!
It has been a very awesome experience. It is still kind of surreal to me that I actually made it happen. For years I've wanted to put a V8 in this car but never thought it would end up being a turbo LS. So glad I did though. I learn something new every day because of it.

I know there are guys who have done it and retained AC. I'm just not exactly sure how

Not that exciting of an update. But figure I would share.
The interior on my car has been slowly falling apart for years. The lower door panels had pretty much disintegrated. And as many of you know, no company makes replacements for 4 doors. Thankfully a family member had a 4 door sedan on his property that's just rotting away and said I could have anything I needed off the car.
A little prep work, some adhesion promoter and interior paint, the driver door is done.
I did find that Acetone works the best for dissolving the old glue for the carpet. It doesn't hurt the panel either. I had tried hot water, dawn and heat but it didn't seem to work for me. I found both suggestions from another thread on here lol.

Eventually the whole interior will be black. Thankfully the back door panels are in one piece, so I can still use them. I'll still need to replace the B-pillar panels, the tailgate panel and the D-pillar panels. Those might be awhile because I haven't found any replacements yet.

How's this car treating you? Get it all tuned up yet?
Car is treating me great so far! Been driving it daily to work. Pulls like a damn freight train too lol
I'm only on 4lbs now. I have a ball and spring boost controller I've yet to hook up. On 4lb spring pressure, my fastest has been a 13.2 @113 on slicks.
I know, not very fast, but it's a pig out of the hole. So a transbrake (probably the 3 gear spool mod) is order.
It definitely feels faster on the street though. Getting into it at anything under 50 is a smoke show lol. I know it will be even worse with more boost and I'm ok with that! Lol
