I punched my olds 307 full throttle yesterday I felt the engine take off like never before. I got home turned it off next start for the first time ever black smoke came out the exhaust. And now the car runs a lot faster and it revs high on idle and it goes down just a tad bit in gear it was nothing like that before and it smells like gas a lot! I wonder what I did when I punched it that it stayed like that it takes longer to get into 2nd gear off first but the car strangely doesn't feel awkward other than it's not the same as before anyone have an idea what this could be? Thank you

Probably knocked off some built carbon? I had a similar issue with mine lol
Damn I think I did Lol! Damn thing takes off just smells like a lot of gas now I can hear the carburator making a tsssssssz sound constantly and the front floater shuts when the car is off and opens up a bit more than. A quarter inch when on doesn't open all the way tho is this normal? Could I mess with the air gas mixture screws and make a difference?
