MONTE CARLO Factory 1986 AC; where do I start?

I just replaced my r4 compressor. The hoses
Condenser core and orifice tube flushed and with new o rings using 134a. It's blowing 33 degree air out of the vents

Unless there was a catastrophic failure and all the freon rushed out in one big whoooosh, then there would be oil in the system. At rest it tends to puddle in specific spots like the compressor. In operation it gets carried along with the freon. Probably a smart move handing it over to a real AC guy. He is right- if the system is sound, which it certainly looks to be, then it won't be a big deal to get it converted. Some things will need automatically replacing like the receiver/dryer and perhaps the compressor if it leaks or is shot. Other than that he will flush the system to get the old oil out then refill with PAG oil. The he puts adapter caps on the service ports and charges with r134a. Enjoy the coolth!
