Shorty header 4 speed

Do NOT buy the ones that say they work from Speedway Motors. They don't fit our chassis. Hits the clamshells and the frame by the clamshell on the driver's side. Had to buy aftermarket UMI engine brackets and also cut & notch my frame. Passengers side fit perfectly.
Might be something to look into is '82-'92 F-body shortys. They have a tighter spot by where the '82-'83 mechanical linkage goes. Might find a set of Chinesium stainless set on Fleabay. I have have a set of FlowTech "shorty" headers on my 1981 El Camino SS. It has a 290 HP 350 in it with true dual exhaust .And seems to have plenty of room for a 4 speed, I have had cars that have had both.automatic and 4 speeds.

This car had a 700r4 in it but there was plenty of room
