The red anti-dieseling solenoid plug is on all 86-88 VINY and VIN9 harnesses, GM used the same harness.
LS swap sounds easy but it's not cheap, you have to rip out the fuel system, wiring, new motor mounts, special pan, headers etc. It adds up quickly... anyone tells you that you can do it for under a few grand is lying or performed a hack job.

Building any engine CORRECTLY will cost you $6k-$10k...
I have $10k into this 430hp/475ft-lb Olds 403 as it sits:

Fully ported, flow better than C heads, big valves, braised divider, they were on a 10 second 1970 Rallye 350.
I will have dyno results tomorrow and a full writeup on the build.

Yeah, I saw what those heads flow in your other post, that is about maximum for SBO heads. It will give me an idea what my SBO 424 will do. Although my #6 heads are probably in the 220 cfm range vs 270

Anti Dieseling plug , is it green?
-This is the plug in question. Pink/Black wires. It is not the dwell meter connection.

Replacement antenna makes sense.

O2 sensor is downstream just behind the collector

Steering column - my guess was that it was broken into and someone jacked the original column trying to steal the car.

I know the cost of rebuilding the 350, but spread it out over a year or 2 my wife won't notice as much :p
Well having had a few of these i must say you have a great lookin car. There is no merit $$ or otherwise in keeping it a CCC Controlled car, quite the opposite. You can recarb this motor for a few hundred bucks unless of course you state requires smog testing as Arizona does, I am just finishing a Calais and Insuring it as Classic I avoid the smog tests and removed all that Junk. I suggest you make whatever engine mods you like and enjoy your car.
