Hello, New member.... I am buying a Regal or Monte Carlo to build a "Pure Stock" class oval dirt car. Is there much of a difference in the suspension drive line of a V6 car vs a V8 car. I will be changing the motor to a 350. I am aware of the motor mount difference. Thanks in advance for any help

Only real differences are metric vs SAE bolts (iirc metric started in 83??), spring rates, sway bars (if they had the f41 package, you could get some money for those), and cross member depending if it's a 3 speed auto or 4 speed auto, or a stick. Rear end too I guess, but you could only get the 7.5, 7.625, or the 8.5 in g bodies in america. Monte SS' had the 7.625 usually, 84+ turbo regals, 442, had the 8.5, everything else got the 7.5 Other than that, nadda.
Oh, engine mount on the frame positioning I guess.

V6 cars have softer springs, smaller front sway bars, and usually lack a rear sway bar. Also V6 cars have 2.41 rear axle gearing. Cars with the Buick V6 have fuel lines on the opposite side from SBC cars. Some of the V6 car wiring is shorter than V8 wiring like the choke heater wire.
