Found this gem of a bumper cover at the U Pull & Pay for $25. Its not 100% perfect, but it's a lot better than the one I had. Also this one is OEM, the one I had was an aftermarket cover (and a lousy one at that).

Breaking news from the pinewood derby results: while "Ducky" suffered from a severe lack of aero, it did win People's Choice award.

That's awesome!

Tatiana (the tall one without the beard) made her school's FaceBook page with her car.

I borrowed a computer and a 4 channel picoscope from work so I could check out the oxygen sensors on my Camry. I back probed both of the sensors and started the car and let it come to temperature. The waveform for the upstream sensor was normal. Voltage was normal and it cycled up and down the way it should. Meanwhile the rear O2 sensor gave a constant voltage, not even a slight variation.

So I did a little test by feeding some propane into the intake and keeping an eye on the laptop. The upstream jumped and immediately read rich. Nothing from the downstream- bad sensor. That might explain why it took so long for the monitor to reset after I changed the catalytic converter last year, the rear sensor was probably getting lazy and now it's totally dead.

So the sensor is definitely bad, and it looks like RockAuto sells a Denso sensor (OE is Denso) for around $60. I'm gonna get one of those ordered and I'll go from there.

Finished up a 11'x5' platform so the Jr. mechanic & I can do some serious slot car racing up off the floor. I couldn't belive all the spare wood I had stacked up in the back of the garage that did this project.

My buddy gave me this bike, and my daughter has outgrown her 24" Trek already at 10 yrs old. She didn't like purple anymore, so Candy Pink with Glitter Dust it is! Blew it apart for paint, and got new controls and derailleurs, and I'll put my old V-Brakes on from when I went disc on mine.

So far this weekend I took time off from my current big project and did some landscaping and cleaning up around the house even pulled out the dead apple tree out front... Well that lead to Lauren helping me. That brings on the inquisitive questions of a very smart 12 year old girl. Witch in turn leaves me explaining what things are for and why there where they are (some projects 14 years old) next thing I know I'm hand digging a ditch for a drain pipe moving a boat removing the biggest azalea bush I've ever seen raking and grading the ground now I get hit with Daddy.....can I work on my car?... Absolutely! Let me just finish what we already started first though. So today I pick back up digging the ditch and laying in the pipe then it looks like I'm going to breath life into my daughter's Hurst Olds
