Jb weld. Then test to see if it holds once cured. Then make the trip, without a pressureized system.

This old guy is so cheap you'd think he was a crackhead. Unfortunately he's a relative. I think the JB weld/ water/ no pressure is the way to go. If this works I get to do the head job- for free- ain't I a lucky SOB?
