Just bought a set of front Blazer brakes, and want to do a spring swap while I am at it. Right now, my Regal still has its original base V6 springs. I would like to keep the front at stock height, and have a higher height in the rear to have the car slightly raked.

Well, I'm a big fan of the stiffer fronts (Moog 5660/2/4), but it really depends on your overall stance and ride height goals (other than rake). If you're going to have it apart, MAW do tall lower ball joints, too. I had the Eibach ProKits, and was not impressed at all; they fronts were just as soft as factory replacements. I was able to tell that on a v6, so a v8 would be that much worse.

This will open a can of worms. If the springs in your car are original, they have sagged over the years and installing new lowering springs will most likely raise the front end.... How much no one knows. The only other option to not having to remove and replace or cut them is to install coilovers so you can quickly and easily adjust the height.

My current V6 springs likely are sagging under the weight of the 305. The suspension parts I currently have installed are KYB Gas A Just shocks, GP front brace, 34 mm F body front sway bar, poly body bushings, and a MCSS rear sway bar. As for ride, I would good handling for street and highway speeds. A step above stock F41.

Would 5662 springs upfront and 5391s in the rear be a good combo?

We've had the same thoughts about changing springs, ball joints, control arms, etc. We aren't sure what springs are installed other than they are what came n the car. Ours rears are not original basing from the appearance and they are a cargo/daily driver setup (coil is not consistent from top to bottom.

I think you're into a trial and error program, or buy coilovers as Streetbu mentioned. Two items helped us for handling more than anything - sway bars (both are 1" or larger) and tires (245's on front and 285's on rear both on 17's).

Good luck
