Glad to see it's getting there! I might get to the good guys show in DSM this year if you were thinking of it.

I never gave that a thought. I don't know if my junk is good enough for a Good Guys show? I wouldn't mind making Clear Lake car show some year.

Thank you. I may still replace the puck with a oversized one from RJC. The puck is not much bigger than the hole and the bolt holes are loose to the bolts. Still could be leaking depending on how you rotate the downpipe to the bolt holes. I am content to the power of it for now.

I got the A/C clutch changed yesterday and got the A/C working. Then my wife and kids backed out on going to the car show today. It was too hot for them. I spent a few hours this morning polishing the old turd, but you can only polished a turd so much! Then I took it to a free car show.

It was a pretty good time despite the heat. A lot of trophy cars there, but they don't interest me much. I like looking at stuff people built them selfs or are building. This Falcon caught my interest.

It has modern suspension and rack and pinion steering. The best part is it has a 90's Lexus engine in it.

The engine will run off the factory computer with out any modification in a stand a loan setup. Kind of neet. I did not take very many pictures today. Just did not feel like it. I did take one for DRIVEN.

And another one for you biker geeks!

Jamar's car show is Friday, if I can make it. So until then that is all I got.

I had an appointment yesterday morning about 30 miles away in Ames. I had my service truck home and the Diesel pickup has a deepfreezer in the back. That only left me with one option for transportation. The Monte. So I drove it! It woke up crabby though. I made it three miles and had to add a couple table spoons of power steering fluid. It was stiff until that. Looks like I need to rework that resivor different. The A/C works like it should around town and lower RPM, but going down the highway over 2000 RPM it does not work for crap. I tried jumping the low pressure switch with a piece of wire for the ride home. It did not make any difference. I have already put more 134a in than I think it should hold, but I will add a little more and see what happens. I think at high idle it is compressing too much and not cycling right. I don't know yet. On the way home the Holley controller tuch screen went wacky. Started do what ever it wanted to. It data logged some and flashed between screens. That is one of the things I don't like about the Holley Sniper. The controller is super heat sensitive, but does not affect how the engine runs through. All in all it ran pretty good considering the heat and was a blast to drive. Looks like I have a few bugs to work out though. Get those cars out and drive, and stay cool!

Witch I think is really cool! I would drive mine more, but I never know when I am getting off work or if I need to take the service truck home. I will not leave my car out in open overnight in Fort Dodge Iowa!

Well Friday I drove the car to work. Here is cool picture of it parked at work besides John's Elcomeno.

It was a lot cooler Friday morning than the last time I drove it. 60°+-. It runs so much better with cooler air. After work I took it to the last Jaymar's car show of the year.

It was a good time and the weather was nice. I did run in to Grandamman checking out some cars. I have decided to leave the springs alone for a while. The back has settled down quight a bit since I cut the rear springs. I like how it sits and rides for now. The front is a little low and I am afraid of the UMI springs I bought, so I am going to leave it alone. The best part of the day was on my way home. I was sitting at a intersection waiting to turn and head out of town. A built Nopower Cuda rolled by revved up his engine and then got on it. I quickly turned and got behind him. I hammered it. I almost blew the tires off when it hit drive. The Cuda could not pull away from me. I egged him on after that, but he decided he did not want to play. He just peetered down the road after that. I think I may have hurt the old man's feelings? He would have been even more upset if he new what was under my hood.:)
